Door County 2010

Well, it's too bad it's been a year since I've posted here.
We've had a great year and just this past weekend had a great trip in Door County. We went with Keith's sister, Julie and her family. I was supposed to run the Door County Half Marathon, but unfortunately I was unable to.
I was having hip troubles for at least a couple months and Keith finally made me go see a Dr and they told me I had some Trochanteric Bursitis, and had to have an MRI to see what else was going on because she thought something else was wrong. I was pretty sure that was all it was and was going to run it anyways, but turns out I somehow managed to fracture part of my femur. Or the Femoral Shaft I think she called it. She said is was pretty good size, about 4cm she said. Not sure if that is bad or not, just know it doesn't feel good and it hurt to run, walk, pretty much anything. Walking wasn't as bad as running, but always had a bit of discomfort. That's the reason why I guess. So, crutches for a few weeks and hope that helps and Physical Therapy, hope it helps so I can get running again soon!! Lots of running, biking and hopefully a Triathlon this summer!
Anyway, back to Door County, we went up even though I wasn't running, and so glad we did. We had a great time and the weather turned out to be wonderful. Rain threatened us early, but the weekend really was a nice sunny weekend. Here are a few pictures of all we did.

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a really nice Mother's Day weekend. I went on my annual trip to Door County with my mom and sisters, and my little niece Gracey. We had such a good time! Can't wait for next year. We stayed in Sister Bay, at Pheasant Park. We had a really nice 3 bedroom suite, bigger than our first apartment, and nicer!
Keith had Kyle with him Friday night and Saturday. Then he went to his mom's on Sunday. We got her a really cute flower arrangement, from Stein's. Wishing I would have taken a picture, thought it was so pretty. I almost got one for myself.

More Gracey
She was watching me unwrap a little chocolate egg, and she was pretty sure she was going to get some of it! Too cute!
As you can see, she likes the chocolate egg she got! So funny!
Yay, french fries with ketchup, she just really wanted the ketchup!
See my knees? Lol!
Isn't she just the sweetest thing! Love the curls!
She is just too cute! We went shopping yesterday and she was so funny. I have to say I have a very smart little niece:) And the facial expressions this girl has is amazing! Here are a few pictures I took throughout the day. Hard to get her to look at me, she was just too busy!

My new egg cooker!

So, we might be strange having an egg cooker, but we really like it! We had one that was built right into our toaster, but that part of it died. So I set out to find a new one. I looked online and at a few stores and found one today at Fleet & Farm in Oshkosh here. Most of the ones I looked at I would have had to have shipped, but I can always count on Fleet! We are trying it out right now. It cooks 7 eggs for soft or hard boil, and 4 for poached eggs. We really like our hard boiled eggs. Keith likes to eat a couple for breakfast or break at work - with Ritz crackers. And I like to have one for breakfast or after a workout/run. So, we are back to cookin eggs again! (I hate doing them on the stove)

Otter Street - Keith's Racing
Keith had a big day of ice racing today!! It was really a very warm day, got up to 50 I think. The ice was just sloppy, as you can see in a lot of the pictures! It was a lot of fun, though! He won first place in one of his races though, and I think 5th in the other. Lots of wet clothes, though!! Ryan Krisher, Bryce, Julie, Kyle and Kira came to watch him race too. That was nice, and nice to hang out with them and hit the resale store with the girls, too:)

Keith's Race Day

Keith went to Fremont to race his 4 wheeler today. His first time actually racing it. Ryan went with him and sounds like they had a really good time. He said there were about 200 people there. He did pretty well for never doing it before. He came in 4th out of 8 in the Modified Production Quad race. He will mostly just play around on Lake Winnebago with it, since most of the races he can't make, but it is still nice to have the whole lake to ride on! He has some friends that do this too, and they have a track on the lake down by Fond du Lac to ride and they usually have a good time there. Ryan took some really good pictures and video. Here is a link to a video he posted on Youtube, too.
